Why is sugar so evil and bad for you?  Because sugar unused by your body is converted into fat and is stored in most of the cells in your body.  This is very dangerous over time because those places where your body stores fat are the inside of your veins and arteries, your heart, liver, brain and so on.  Storing unused sugar as fat results in contributing to nearly any kind of disease as in cancers, heart disease, etc.

Sugar in the natural state is not usually harmful.  Natural sugars are found in fruits, vegetables, milk and dairy.  But sugar becomes a problem when it is ADDED into foods by the manufacturer.   These types of foods are referred to as processed foods.

You’re going to be shocked when you start to understand just how much sugar you’ve been eating all your life without realizing it !  Food labels are required to have total carbs, total fat, saturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, protein, and vitamins on the label as well as a list of all ingredients and a few other things we won’t be interested in.  But there are so many sneaky ways manufacturers add sugars to your food that unless you know what to look for on a label,  you could throw your body right out of ketosis in just 1 or 2 bites.

So as to not get kicked out of ketosis, below is a list of all the hidden sugars that are known.  Just imagine how scary this is for an insulin dependent diabetic.   I’m sure food companies are conjuring up more.
